Marion is a public health professional with more than 30 years experience in international development, including 13 years as an adviser to the UK Department for International Development (DFID). She is currently co-chair of the Consortium Advisory Group that supports the strategic direction of the DFID-funded Research Evidence and Development Initiative (READ-It) Programme led by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.Marion applies scientific evidence and systems thinking to tackle complex challenges related to RMNCH, infectious diseases, nutrition and non-communicable diseases. Her recent work for DFID/FCDO, AusAID/DFAT and EU spanned Africa (Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Uganda), Asia (India, Nepal, Cambodia, Timor-Leste) and the Pacific (Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu).
