Background and recent experienceMarion is a public health professional with more than 30 years experience in international development, including 13 years as an adviser to the UK Department for International Development (DFID). She is currently co-chair of the Consortium Advisory Group that supports the strategic direction of the DFID-funded Research Evidence and Development Initiative (READ-It) Programme led by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
In recent consultancy assignments for bilateral clients (DFID, DFAT, EU, AusAID, USAID) in Africa (Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Uganda), Asia (India, Cambodia, Timor-Leste) and the Pacific (Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu), Marion has applied scientific evidence and systems thinking to tackle complex challenges related to RMNCH, undernutrition and infectious diseases.
